The images that social media don’t want
The new release of Spytt, independent print magazine that collects images and words of those who observe the world without filters, without imposed aesthetics, without the pretense of pleasing. It is a collective project, born from the desire to restore language to the photographic gaze.
A self-managed space where photography can be rough, free, unfiltered. We chose paper to host images that social media don’t want. Images that bite, that scratch, that ask only to exist. For us it is an open space. An imperfect place, alive, sometimes contradictory. In Spytt, every guest decides what to bring and how to show it, without editorial direction, themes or cuts. A selection of photographic works and visual contributions that dialogue with each other, creating a choral and unfiltered narrative.
Inside you find urgent photography, sometimes dirty, often imperfect. Made with that thing that arrives before thought, that scratches before explaining itself. Because what we feel above all is the need to get it out. Even if they are images that social media don’t want.
